Agenda 2024 is determined to streamline the government bureaucracy by eliminating over 100 wasteful Ministers. Over the years the number of Ministers has grown exponentially in Ghana. The growth in the number of Ministries under the ruling parties of the NDC and NPP has not resulted in better or more efficient services for the people of Ghana. They have resulted in a rapidly increasing bureaucracy that provides high paying Ministry jobs to the family friends and supporters of the ruling class.
The Agenda 2024 Platform of the Independent Candidacy of Kofi Koranteng for President calls for consolidating all government Departments, Commissions and Agencies under the direction of ten essential ministries. These ten Ministries would have a tighter control of goals, budgets and more effectively working to completing their missions. The savings from Minister and Assistant Minister Salaries along with the elimination of Ex-Gratia payments would be dedicated to much needed rebuilding projects for Ghana and its citizens.
Under an Independent President Koranteng, 10 Ministers will be expected to work full-time to ensure that the missions and objectives of their assignments are diligently fulfilled on time and within budget. Each Ministry will be held accountable for every Department, Commission and Agency under its executive guidance.
In proposed 20,30- and 50-year development plans that President Koranteng and Agenda 2024 plan to propose and pass through Parliament, Ministries will also be expected to work together on joint National initiatives. The Ministries listed below are deemed vital and essential by Candidate for President Koranteng and Agenda 2024.
